Team Work Makes The Dream Work!
It's been super exciting to see the growth of the "Strands brand" over the past 8 years; from two new locations, new team members, salons/spas getting busier and bustling. With lots going on day-to-day, it's important to remember that "teamwork makes the dream work!"
As the salons get busier, we all get busier: the phones ring more, there are more guests in your chairs and treatment rooms, more supplies are needed, etc. So, I thought it might be a good time for a "gentle reminder" about pitching in around the salons to ensure our continued successes as individuals and team members.
We all need to make sure that we are meeting the expectations of the duties described in our respective job descriptions. Here are a few key reminders for our service providers as a refresher for old and new team members alike (not verbatim):
Perform opening duties according to State Board Regulations (if fined, you are responsible for paying the fine) e.g., getting station prepared, dusting station and arranging your product on your, wash your mirror and chair rails, bottom of your chair, etc.
Maintain equipment and station cleanliness at all times (sweep after EVERY guest before you take the next, refill products at station). Maintain the color dispensary area (clean up after mixing color, wash bowls and brushes after color application) and make foils.
And most importantly, when you’re not busy, please help front desk with their duties; doing laundry, tidying the salon, checking the toilet paper in the restroom, making sure coffee is made, etc.
When you are on the clock, please do not sit on your phone while there are salon/spa tasks to be done unless you are on a break or lunch. There is ALWAYS something to do!
We appreciate you all and all that you do! We couldn't do it without you! If you would like to review your entire job description, they are posted in the team website. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact myself or Jacquie at any time. At the end of the day, it's our job to make sure you are successful and have all the tools you need.
