Jason Pyles
Jason grew up in a small West Virginia town hoping to be the next Jerry West. After one season of Division I college basketball, he quickly realized 5’8", 140 pound point guards have no chance in Division I basketball, so he started running.
Jason ran four years of cross country at Marshall University. He has since moved up to running long distance road races with the goal of qualifying for the 2012 USA Olympic Marathon trials. He finished 14th overall (5th American) at the 2008 RRCA Half Championships and he placed sixth in the 2009 Columbus Marathon. Jason worked as an assistant coach at Marshall University, until taking over the Head Cross Country and Track Coach position at the University of Charleston. He is currently training for the 2010 Boston Marathon.
